Logan Kim of La Canada Flintridge repeated as champion in the Boys Division and Angela Heo of Murrieta captured the Girls Division title in the third annual Lizette Salas Classic at Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon in Beaumont.
The tournament is part of the Southern California PGA’s Toyota Tour Cup series.
Kim came from six strokes behind in the final round to win with a score of 74-66—140, 4-under-par, while Dalin Piao of Torrance was second at 71-70—141, followed by Luciano Conlan of Carlsbad at 75-68—143.
First-round leader Matthew Schafer of Long Beach shot 68-76—144 to tie for fourth with Connor Reis of Claremont, who finished at 69-75—144.
Eric Lee of Fullerton carded a score of 74-71—145 to tie for sixth with Shuqun Sun of San Diego, who totaled 72-73—145, and Greyson Leach of Rolling Hills Estates, who wound up at 69-76—145.
Evan Chien of Irvine shot 72-74—146 to tie for ninth with Ryan Abuan of Temecula, who came in at 71-75—146.
Heo claimed her second Toyota Tour Cup title of the season with a score of 70-71—141, while Elina Kang of Murrieta shot 71-71—142 to tie for second with first-round leader Yurang Li of Fullerton, who finished at 69-73—142, and Emily Lee of Torrance, who wound up at 71-71—142.
Kylie Chong of Torrance was fifth at 72-71—143, followed by Alice Ziyi Zhao of Irvine at 71-74—145, while Kaili Xiao of Chino Hills carded a score of 74-72—146 to tie for seventh with Karen Tsuru of Carlsbad, who finished at 74-72—146.
Frances Kim of Rolling Hills was ninth at 75-73—148, followed by Elise Lee of Irvine at 76-73—149.
