PXG has launched the PXG Torpedo ZT putter, a zero-torque addition to the lineup using the familiar Torpedo mallet design reweighted for added stability and featuring a ball pickup pocket in the sole.

With the combination of stainless steel in the front and much lighter aluminum in the rear PXG engineers were able to manipulate the center of gravity’s location to increase the forgiveness, stability and MOI.
As with all zero torque putters the center line of the shaft passes very close to the head’s center of gravity.
The sole weights are interchangeable and therefore the head weight can run between 357g and 392g. Stock head weight is 370g.
“With Torpedo ZT, we wanted to bring Zero Torque performance to a shape golfers already know and love,” said Matt Andrews, PXG Design Engineer. “The relationship between the shaft axis and center of gravity is key. By positioning them extremely close together, we reduce the putter’s tendency to twist during the stroke. That gives golfers less face rotation to manage and more freedom to focus on the line and speed of the putt.”
