Seidl-Marks Capture SCGA 4-Ball Title

Tom Seidl and Greg Marks of El Dorado Park Golf Course in Long Beach took it right down to the finish.

Seidel and Marks carded a net birdie on the last hole to win the 42nd Southern California Golf Association Four-Ball Net Championship by one stroke over Frank Mazano of Muroc Lake Golf Course in Edwards and Don Younger of Rancho Vista Golf Course in Palmdale, and Jeff Perry and John Hadley of Red Hill Country Club in Rancho Cucamonga at Soboda Springs Golf Course in San Jacinto.

Marks sank the winning putt at No. 18 as he and Seidl posted a score of 63-63—126, 18-under-par, while Manzano and Younger finished at 66-66—127, and Perry and Hadley wound up at 63-64—127, followed in fourth by David Hutchinson and Raymond Munoz of Antelope Valley Country Club at 62-66—128.

Brian Czerniak of Sepulveda Golf Club in Encino and Mark Billik of El Caballero Country Club in Tarzana shot 69-60—129 to finish in a big tie for fifth with Tom Gibson and Maroun Aboutanos of Los Verdes Country Club in Rancho Palos Verdes, who totaled 66-63—129, Andrew Anderson and Thomas Konkel of Westlake Golf Course in Westlake Village, who finished at 65-64—129, Jesse Beecher and Chris Kuminkoski of Canyon Lakes Golf Club in San Ramon, who wound up at 68-61—129, Joshua Carter of Birch Hills Golf Club in Brea and Steven Silva of Chasing Aces, who totaled 63-66—129, and Mike Galloway and Charlie Adams of Hobo, Ga., who came in at 64-65—129.
