Ping has been a longtime supporter of women’s golf and clubs made specifically for women have been an integral part of their lineup for five decades with the latest being the G Le4 family introduced this year.
“Our commitment to women’s golf started in the 1970s with my grandparents, Karsten and Louise Solheim, and continues today with the Solheim Cup and other game-growing initiatives,” said Ping Executive Vice President Stacey Pauwels.
The company also have stepped up to the plate with the new WebFit app to help women find the correct gapping and proper set make-up by analyzing a series of simple questions about their game’s strengths and weaknesses plus their playing preferences.
Each G Le4 club is lightweight and designed for 80 mph or less swing speeds. The driver has the center of gravity located deep in the head near the sole to promote high launch for more carry and features both Ping’s Carbonfly crown of carbon fiber and a 22g rear weight placed towards the heel to help fight a left to right curvature.
This design produces a 15% higher MOI or resistance to twisting and the forged face helps to preserve ball speed across its entire width.
The G Le4 family includes fairway woods 3W, 5W, 7W and 9W, four lofts of hybrids plus irons from 6-iron on down and three classic Ping putters the Anser 2D ($270), Louise ($325) and Oslo ($325).
