PGA Tour star Jason Day’s favorite number is 87 and after he spent almost a year working with Payntr developing a new line of golf shoes and to mark his involvement Payntr chose the number for the model’s name, Eighty Seven SC Golf Shoes.

Payntr Golf shipped their first shoes three years ago and they tell me that today they are the fastest growing footwear brand in North America and have distributors in major golf markets including the United Kingdom and Europe, Japan, SE Asia, South Africa, and Canada.
Michael Glancy is one of Payntr Golf’s founders and the brand’s creative director with footwear veteran and company President Mike Foshay described the unique Integrated Graphite Propulsion Plate which is more than marketing hyperbole. “Payntr looks at traction as a three-dimensional problem, i.e., prevent rotation in relationship to the ground, provide support horizontally and most importantly to increase the leverage created by pushing into the ground to gain power on the downswing.”
The directional carbon fiber plate between the outsole and insole made with Carbitex provides a unique solution to this problem.
The latest of their golf models, the Eighty Seven SC, was inspired by Jason Day and his 10 months involvement with Payntr in developing the Eighty Seven SC or Speed Classic with more models in this line to follow.
