Todd Keefer, PGA General Manager at Wilshire Country Club is Los Angeles, was elected President of the Southern California PGA at the organization’s annual meeting at Rancho Bernardo Inn in San Diego.
Keefer (pictured) also will serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors for two years.
“Our section will continue to support the participation of all children in the game of golf through their formative years and into their adult lives,” Keefer said. “We believe we can grow the game and business by extolling the value of family participation and by marketing the value of the game and sport throughout California and the West.
“Our Southern California PGA programs for PGA professionals are outstanding and we continue to develop these programs and new ones to engage our professionals and ensure they are prepared to meet the demands of our business and profession.”
Joing Keefer on the Board of Directors are Vice President Tony Letendre of the Professional Golfers Career College in Temecula and Secretary Robin Shelton of SeaCliff Country Club in Huntington Beach.
Immediate Past President John McNair of JC Resorts in La Jolla will serve on the Board as Honorary President.
Other members of the SCPGA Board are Eric Lohman of Monarch Beach Golf Links in Dana Point, Scott Heyn of Oakmont Country Club in Glendale, Rob Oosterhuis of Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, Randy Chang of Journey at Pechanga Resort in Temecula, Derek Hardy of Talega Golf Club in San Clemente and Joe Grohman of Navy Golf Club in Cypress.
