Tim Hogarth of Northridge captured his fourth Pasadena City Championship by six strokes over Joshua Shou of Singapore at Brookside Golf Club in Pasadena, adjacent to the Rose Bowl.
Hogarth, the 1999 California Amateur champion who also won the Pasadena title in 2007, 2008 and 2009, posted a score of 66-71-67-73–277, 11-under-par. It was the second title of the year for the four-time SCGA Mid-Amateur champion, who claimed his second straight Kelly Cup in April at Lakeside Golf Club in Burbank.
Shou was second at 68-74-70-71–283, while Kevin Fitzgerald of Riverside totaled 70-71-72-75–288 to tie for third with 2012 champion Sean Birren of LaVerne, who came in at 70-71-70-77–288, and defending champion Dan Sullivan of Pasadena was fifth at 64-75-75-75–289.
Blake Barens of Irvine shot 71-76-70-74–291 to tie for sixth with Corey Chavez of La Mirada, who finished at 72-74-71-74–291, and Byron Buse of Fullerton, who came in at 67-76-70-78–291, while Blake Meek of Pasadena totaled 68-77-73-74–292 to tie for ninth with Reilly McMahon of Santa Maria, who wound up at 70-76-74-72–292.
