Hodas-Haythorne Win SCPGA Mixed Title

David Podas and Hannah Haythorne of Bel-Air Country Club in Los Angeles captured the Southern California PGA Mixed Professional-Professional Championship by one stroke over Angela Buzminski of Woodland Hills Country Club and Steve Holmes of Westlake Village Golf Club, and Tim Parun of Coronado Golf Course and Kaitlyn Ellis of La Quinta Resort and Club at SeaCliff Country Club in Huntington Beach.

The event was played under the triple play format, with six holes of scramble, six holes of 4-ball and six holes of Pinehurst golf.

Podas-Haythorne shot 6-under-par 66, while Buzminski-Holmes and Parun-Ellis wound up at 67.

Jim Gormley and Kari Sur of Palos Verdes Golf Club in Palos Verdes Estates totaled 68 to tie for fourth with Logan Scott of Oakmont Country Club in Glendale and Hannah Faccini of the Southern California PGA office.

Alison Curdt of Wood Ranch Golf Club in Simi Valley and Brian Smock of Coronado Golf Course finished at 69 to tie for sixth with Kimberly Falcone and Hagen Fell of La Jolla Country Club, and Heidi Wright-Tennyson and Mike Fergin of Mesa Verde Golf Club in Costa Mesa.

Marianne Huning of Bel-Air Country Club and Jeff Brockman of MountainGate Golf Club in Los Angeles wound up at 70 to tie for ninth with Ronnie Valerio of Tustin Ranch Golf Club and Pich Thubthimthong of Rolling Hills Country Club in Rolling Hills Estates, Kevin Wong and Janelle Sua of Rolling Hills Country Club, Junko Suziki of the PGA of America national office and Blair Harkins of Rolling Hills Country Club, and Bobby Nickell of San Clemente Golf Course and Heather King of Miramar Memorial Golf Course in San Diego.
