Jeff Burda of La Quinta just keeps on winning.
Burda captured the Southern California Golf Association Super Senior Championship for the second straight year, winning by six strokes over Craig Calkins of Manhattan Beach at Ojai Valley Inn and Spa.
It was 24th time Burda, a three-time winner of the California Senior Amateur Championship, has claimed an SCGA, Northern California Golf Association or California Golf Association title.
Burda, who also won the 2014 Trans-Mississippi Senior Championship, posted a score of 64-69—133, seven-under-par, while Calkins finished at 71-68—139, and Curtis Worley of Coronado was third at 72-71—143, followed by Bob Clark of Murrieta at 68-77—145.
Jim Williams of Orinda carded a score of 74-73—147 to tie for fifth with 2014 champion Ken Knott of Los Angeles, who shot 73-74—147, and 2019 winner David Ujihara of Brea, who finished at 69-78—147.
Kemp Richardson of Laguna Nigel, who won the SCGA Super Senior title in 2016 and 2017, totaled 82-76—148 to tie for eighth with Steve Schiro of Signal Hill, who finished at 73-75—148, John Hoffman of San Diego, who wound up at 75-73—148, and Mike Marmer of Huntington Beach, who came in at 73-75—148.
Rob Thompson of Merced, the 2013 champion, shot 79-80—159 to finish in a tie for 50th.
