Allen Claims Saguaro Am by 1 Stroke

Tucker Allen of Tolar, Texas, claimed a one-stroke victory over Hunter Epson of Long Beach and Canon Olkowski of Las Vegas in the Saguaro Amateur at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club in Maricopa, Ariz.

Allen, a sophomore at Oklahoma who won the 2018 AJGA Coca-Cola Open, posted a score of 66-70-69—205, while third-round leader Epson, a senior at Long Beach State, finished at 69-64-73—206, and Olkowski wound up at 69-69-68—206.

Blake Hathcoat of Fresno, a senior at St. Mary’s College in Moraga who tied for fifth in the tournament last year, totaled 69-69-70—208 to tie for fourth with Zihao Jin of China and San Diego State, who shot 72-66-70—208, Ross Sinclar of Albuquerque, N.M, who finished at 71-69-68—208, and Carson Barry of Eagle, Idaho, who wound up at 71-68-69—208.

Scott Rescigno of Reno was eighth at 67-68-74—209, followed by Magnus Lomholt of Denmark at 70-70-70—210.

Tucker Clark of Phoenix carded a score of 69-71-71—211 to tie for 10th with Connor James of Westminster, Colo., who shot 72-67-72—211, Levi Valadez of Alamo Heights, Texas, who finished at 71-68-72—211, Joe Neuheisel of Scottsdale, Ariz., who wound up at 69-70-72—211, and Nicklaus Chaim of Singapore, who came in at 68-69-74—211.
