The new Dynapwr Max+ has had the design of the 2025 Max tweaked to push the MOI or resistance to twisting past the 10,000 g/cm2 threshold and giving it excellent stability should impact with the ball miss the sweet spot. Wilson says simply it is the straightest and most forgiving drive they have ever made.
The rear weight of 26g can be flipped to help shot shaping and the face bulge and roll has been adjusted to retain spin for tighter spot dispersion.
Jared Guttmann, Wilson’s Manager of Advanced Golf R&D said of the introduction, “With the Max+ driver we’ve reached 10K MOI without increasing the clubhead mass. Most, if not all, 10K heads achieve that threshold in part by increasing clubhead mass, as more mass equals more MOI. The downside to this approach is that you slow down the clubhead speed and therefore the ball speed. Our approach in designing the Max+ was incredibly efficient and we were able to maintain high clubhead speeds and high ball speeds, while also driving 10K forgiveness.”
