Brett Viboch of Moraga and Garrett Wagner of Brentwood captured the Antioch City Golf Championship by two strokes over Chris Johnson of Rancho Cordova and Scott Watson of Vacaville, and Bobby Bucey of Concord and Dominic Debellis of Brentwood at Lone Tree Golf Course http://www.lonetreegolfcourse.com in Antioch.
Viboch (pictured) and Wagner, who both played at Chico State, posted a score of 65-63—128, 16-under-par, while Johnson-Watson and Bucey Debellis both finished at 66-64—130.
Andy Nevin of Danville and Travis Peterson of Santa Rosa carded a 36-hole score of 135 to tie for fourth with Joshua Diaz of Discovery Bay and Clayton Creer of Antioch, while Devyn Fitchhorn of Fairfield and Jeff Zanassi of Vacaville totaled 137 to tie for seventh with Graham Beard and Chris Mills of Ukiah.
Matt Johnson and John Silvester of Pittsburg shot 142 to tie for 10th with William Parker and Patrick Harman of Walnut Creek.
Randy Haag of San Francisco and Gary Vanier of Walnut Creek claimed the Senior Division title by leading almost from wire-to-wire and carding a score of 69-66—135, followed by Bob Olds of Brentwood and Tony McBroom of Stockton at 137, and Mark Miller and Terry Foreman of Brentwood at 143.
Matt Free of Antioch and Tom Lyons of Brentwood wound up at 144 to tie for fourth with Jay Guerin of Fremont and Scott Anderson of Bakersfield, while Eddie Myers of Oakley and Rick Whitmore of Pleasanton were sixth at 145, followed by Bob Fulton of Livermore and Dan Bieber of Alamo at 146, and Bob Reed and Mike Wishart of Hillsborough at 149.
