Templeton-Higgins Win SCPGA Pro-Lady Title

Jeffrey Templeton, PGA, and Joan Higgins of Glendora Country Club claimed the 18th Southern California PGA Professional-Lady Championship by three points on their home course in Glendora over 2019 co-champions Mike Fergin, PGA, and Ellen Stewart of Mesa Verde Country Club in Costa Mesa.

Templeton and Higgins finished with 31 points under the modified Stableford scoring system, while Fergin and Stewart wound up at 28 and Logan Scott, PGA, while Angella Collins of Oakmont Country Club in Glendale were third with 26 points.

Andrew Alderice, PGA, and Ailam Newkirk of Newport Beach Country Club had 25 points to tie for fourth with Zachary Moya, PGA, and Lisa Mulvaney of Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach.

Nick Badel, PGA, and Eunice Cho of Virginia Country Club in Long Beach collected 24 points to tie for sixth with Scott Mallory, PGA, and Briana Freeman of the Journey at Pechanga in Temecula, and Andrew Kramer, PGA, and Neomi Hunt of Los Serranos Country Club in Chino Hills.

James Schact, PGA, and Madelaine Campbell of Mesa Verde Country Club in Costa Mesato totaled 22 points to tie for ninth with Angela Buzminski, PGA, and Ilsa Watters of Woodland Hills Country Club, and Lance Peterson, PGA, and Sherry Soto of Western Hills Country Club in Chino Hills.

Mallory, at five feet four inches, and Cho at 11 feet seven inches, and claimed closest to the hole honors on the 15th hole and each took home a GB LASER LITE rangefinder courtesy of GolfBuddy.
