Stratton Claims SCGA Senior Net Title

Rick Stratton of Rancho Vista Men’s Club captured the Arroyo Division in the seventh Southern California Golf Association Senior Net Championship by one stroke over Matt Satterly of Meadowlark Golf Club and David Wagner of Canyon Lake Golf Club at Los Serranos Country Club https://losserranoscountryclub.com/ in Chino Hills.

Stratton (pictured front row, center) posted a winning score of 68-73—141, 7-under-par, while Satterly finished a 72-70—142 and Wagner wound up at 72-70—142.

Ronald Fernandez of Sunset Hills Country Club was fourth at 69-74—143, while Brian Spain of Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club shot 77-78—145 to tie for third with Al Barilar of South Bay Public Links Golf Club, who finished at 73-72—155, and James Juden of Tierra Del Sol Golf Club, who wound up at 72-73—145.

Carl Bunch of El Prado Golf Club was eighth at 72-74—146, followed by defending champion Sunny Bhullar of Los Robles Greens Golf Club at 68-78—146 and Danny Tinnin at 74-74—148.

Rafael Martinez of Hidden Valley Golf Club ran away with the Mission Flight title with a score of 65-62—127, while Kyle Miyamoto of Anaheim Golf Association was second at 71-62—133, followed by Aram Gezalian of Whittier Narrows Golf Club at 65-721—136, Angelo Cofino of Skylinks Golf Club at 74-64—138 and Stephen Collins of Southern California Golf Club at 66-73—139.

Greg Baumann of Encinitas Ranch Golf Club shot 69-73—142 to tie for sixth with Rusty Clarke of General Old Golf Club, who finished at 67-75—142, while Mike Miesner of Costa Mesa Golf Club totaled 73-70—143 to tie for eighth with Donald Walthers of Lapraac Golf Club, who shot 68-76—143, and Henry Leeper of Tukwet Canyon Golf Club, who came in at 70-73—143.

David Hochenedel of Brookside Golf Course claimed the Pacific Super Senior Flight by shooting 69-72—141, followed by Doug Ferguson of Desert Willow Golf Resort at 73-70—143, while David Pidal of Yacaipa Valley Golf Club shot 74-71—145 to tie for third with George Tucker of Marbella Country Club, who finished at 68-77—145.

Bill Fitzpatrick of Recreation Park Golf Club was fifth at 74-72—146, followed by Brad Greiner of San Diego High School Golf Club, who wound up at 73-75—148, while Ray Vanyo of Mission Lakes Country Club shot 76-73—149 to tie for seventh at Phil Rizzo of the Victoria Club, who finished at 75-74—139.

Richard Nagelschmidt of Elkins Ranks Golf Course was ninth at 75-75—150, while Rocky Minichiello of Roger Dunn Golf totaled 74-76—150 to tie for 10th with David Connally of Professional Gypsy Golf Association, who finished at 79-71—150, John Given of Rancho Park Golf Club, who wound up at 75-75—150, and Michael Jacobs of Anaheim Hills Golf Club, who came in at 72-78—150.

Thomas Wong of Lakewood Golf Club shot 68-74—142 and won the San Andreas Super Senior Flight in a card-off with Robert Scotland of Islands Golf Club, who finished at 65-77—142.

Robert Patterson of Pelican Hill Golf Club totaled 73-71—144 to tie for third with Herman Schroeder of Industry Hills Golf Club, who finished at 70-74—144, while James Moore of Balboa Park Golf Club was fifth at 71-74—145, followed by Chuck Winkles of Monarch Dunes Golf Club at 71-75—146, and Alan Goldstein of Brookside Golf Course at 76-71—147.

Jack Smith of Recreation Park Golf Course shot 73-75—148 to tie for eighth with Ron Schwandt, also of Recreation Park, who wound up at 74-74—148, and Jim Crabb of Hacienda Country Club, who came in at 75-73—148.
