Jason Schmuhl of Windsor Golf Club and Mitch Lowe of TPC Harding Park in San Francisco captured the Northern California PGA Senior-Junior Championship for second straight year by nine strokes at Crow Canyon Country Club in Danville.
In the morning round, the golfers competed at four-ball stroke play, before switch to a two-pro scramble in the afternoon.
Schmuhl (pictured right) and Lowe (left), who claimed the title last year at Spring Valley Golf Club in Milpitas, carded a score of 62-56—118, 20-under-par.
Laird Small of Pebble Beach Golf Academy and Philip Dawson of Catte Verde Country Club at Twelve Bridges in Lincoln totaled 66-61—127 to tie for second with Timothy Sands of Oakhurst Country Club in Clayton and Don Thames of Rancho Murrieta Country Club in Sloughhouse, who wound up at 66-61—127.
Charlie Gibson and Donnie Baucom of Morgan Creek Golf and Country Club in Roseville were fourth at 65-63—128, followed by Dave Carr of Teal Bend Golf Club in Sacramento and Brian Glosser of Rancho Solano Golf Course in Fairfield at 66-63—129.
Glen Stubblefield of La Contenta Golf Club in Valley Springs and Michael Paul of Washoe County Golf Course in Reno, Nev., shot 69-61—130 to tie for sixth with John Snopkowski and David Desatoff of Santa Teresa Golf Club in San Jose, who finished at 70-60—130, and Willie Toney and William Manning of the Olympic Club in San Francisco, who wound up at 68-62—130.
Ed Hester and Joe Moulton of Cameron Park Country Club in Shingle Springs carded a score of 68-63—131 to tie for ninth with Austin Peters of Saddle Creek Golf Club in Copperopolis and Mike Cook of Pine Mountain Lake Country Club in Groveland, who also totaled 68-63—131, Jeff Palmer of the Reserve at Spanos Park Golf Club in Stockton and Joseph Smith of Van Buskirk Golf Course in Stockton, who shot 67-64—131, and Eric Costa of Pheasant Run Golf Club in Chowchilla and Ryan Lancaster of Fig Garden Golf Club in Fresno, who came in at 65-66—131.
