PXG is serious about providing game-improvement category clubs to those golfers needing that type of club by expanding their line with the new 0341 fairways and 0317 hybrids as well as continuing the policy of moving their pricing down market which should help to attract a larger number of buyers.
According to their website both the 0341 fairways and 0317 hybrids are being sold at a discount of $130 from what is presumably is the “regular price” though it is not known if any sales have been or will be made at the higher number. An interesting historical contrast can be drawn with the 2017 model PXG 0341 Fairway Woods that carried a list price of $500 each and 0317 Hybrids were $400 each.
The targeting of the largest club-buying segment, recreational players wanting moderately price clubs with high quality and the latest technology, was confirmed in the press announcement by Bob Parsons company founder and CEO. “For those who need more forgiveness, our XF GEN4 Golf Clubs are our highest achievement yet. Our new fairways and hybrids not only pardon a multitude of sins, but also round out the lineup so you can take sharper aim, hit it farther, and score lower.”
The 0341 fairways and 0317 hybrids join the 0811 XF GEN4 driver and 0311 XP GEN4 irons brought to market last spring. For all models the XF stands for “Xtra Forgiveness.”
