PXG’s latest metalwoods were designed with special stress on vibration analysis. In the case of the four driver models this resulted in a new structure for the heads including a raised center section of the sole called a Spine to focus impact energy for more ball speed and head stability.

Significantly engineers were able to add carbon fiber to the head, up to 84% more, than previous models which meant more weight moving towards the outside and higher MOI or resistance to twisting. The Lightening Max 10K+ driver pushes the head’s MOI to the threshold of USGA conformity.

Vibration analysis of the face led to matching the dominant frequency to produce more energy transfer by flexing at the right point in time and in the right configuration.

According to Brad Schweigert, PXG Chief Operating Officer, “Frequency tuning, structural reinforcement, and advanced MOI engineering allowed us to create metalwoods that are objectively faster and more stable. The gains are real, measurable, and available across every model.”
