Loustalot-Ruiz win NCGA Club title

PGA pro Tim Loustalot and Brian Ruiz of DeLaveaga  Golf Club in Santa Cruz recorded a par on the first playoff hole to turn back pro Shawn Kelly and Ben Ledbetter of Ridge Golf Club in Auburn to win of the 36th annual Northern California PGA California State Club Championship at Old Greenwood in Truckee.

Loustalot and Ruiz posted a score of 69-66–135, 9-under par, while Kelly and Ledbetter finished at 70-65-135.

Pro Bing Bingham and Pat Henry of Elk Grove Valley High totaled 69-67–136 to tie for third with pro Timothy Pulley and Juan Gonzales of Wildhorse Golf Club in Davis, who wound up at 70-66–136, pro Michael Cook and Steve Grant of Pine Mountain Lake Golf Club of Groveland, who finished at 67-69–136, and pro Steve Pellegrine and Steve Danielle pf Sunnyside Golf Course in Fresno, who came in at 70-66–136.

Pro Jeff Christensen and Chris Gaeckle of Forest Meadows Golf Course in Murphys were seventh at 68-69–137, followed by pro Stuart Smith and Roman Mudd of Somersett Golf and Country Club in Reno, who totaled 70-68–138.

Pro Shea Rollins and Mike Furlong of Spring Creek Golf and Country Club in Ripon carded a score of 69-70–139 to tie for ninth with pro Jason Schmuhl and Adam Lewis of Windson Golf Club, who shot 67-72–139, pro Robert Poole and Scott Altick of Menlo Golf Club in Redwood City, who wound up at 70-69–139, and pro Scott Bolen and Jonas Mikals of Lahontan Golf Club in Truckee, who came in at 70-69–139.
