Lake Elsinore native helps Oregon set NCAA scoring record

Oregon freshman Aaron Wise, a native of Lake Elsinore, Calif., led his Ducks team to a win at the Ka’anapali Collegiaite on the island of Maui in Hawaii. The win was the team’s fourth win of the fall.

Wise, who attended Santiago High School in Corona, shot 66-72-65 to not only finish first on his team, but win the overall title at Ka’anapali’s Royal course. He tied with North Florida’s MJ Maguire at 203.

At 33-under-par, Oregon won the event by an astounding 24 shots.
