Fifth Annual Palm Springs Playboy Golf Scramble
The Fifth Annual Palm Springs Playboy Golf Scramble took place November 11-12 at the Fantasy Springs Resort and Eagle Falls Golf Course. One of the most unique, exciting and entertaining golfing events in the world, the tournament arranges four person teams comprised of celebrities, professional athletes, Playboy Playmates and amateur golfers that compete in a scramble format through 18 holes of play. Nationwide Tour’s Soboba Golf Classic Changes Dates
The Soboba Golf Classic, which usually takes place in September, has moved to April 2-8 for 2012. The tournament is held annually at The Country Club at Soboba Springs located in San Jacinto, Calif. The award-winning, par-72, official PGA TOUR Nationwide Tour golf course spans 18 holes and 7,101 yards, and was redesigned by Cary Bickler in 2005. The Country Club at Soboba Springs also features its signature restaurant, The Maze Stone, which offers casual dining, a beautiful lounge and an outdoor viewing bar. NCGA Offers “Fill Your Foursome” Special With 2012 Membership
For every three new members that an existing NCGA member brings in to the Northern California Golf Association, the existing member will earn a complimentary foursome at either Poppy Hills or Poppy Ridge. Oak Creek Golf Club to Introduce New Banquet Facility
Oak Creek Golf Club, located in Irvine, Calif., has officially broken ground on a new banquet facility and golf retail store. The new, 2,500-square-foot banquet facility will be able to accommodate up to 200 guests and will aim to become the venue of choice for upscale golf tournaments, weddings, parties, and corporate events.
