Zero torque putters have grabbed the attention of many golfers for their ability to retain the face square to the line of the putter stroke, no opening on the back stroke nor closing to square on the through stroke.
“With traditional putters, you’ve got to manipulate the face to keep it square,” said Brad Schweigert, PXG Chief Product Officer. “Our Zero Torque design places the shaft axis over the center-of-gravity, so you don’t have to think about that. You just swing from the shoulders, and the clubhead stays square – pure, efficient, and reliable.”
The head of the Hellcat is metal injection molded (MIM) stainless steel producing a very precise shape and the face is PXG’s Pyramid Face Technology.
It joins PXG’s other Zero Torque putters, the Allan ZT and Bat Attack ZT, both mallet heads. Other than the blade-shape the Hellcat ZT has the distinction of being substantially less money than the other two, $200 less.
PXG Founder & CEO Bob Parsons was quoted as saying, “I love this game. And I love helping people play it better. With the Hellcat ZT, we’ve packed top putting technology into a badass blade that feels amazing, rolls pure, and performs like nothing else out there — all for a price that makes you say, ‘Why the hell not?’”
Fitting sessions by professionals are available to ensure each putter fits the purchaser’s stroke for the proper length, loft, lie angle and grip size.
