Fergin/Stewart, Kramer/Hunt Share SCPGA Title

Mike Fergin/Ellen Stewart of Mesa Verde Country Club in Costa Mesa and Andrew Kramer/Neomi Hunt of Los Serranos Country Club in Chino Hills were declared co-champions of the 17th Southern California PGA Professional-Lady Championship after surviving a seven-team playoff at Palos Verdes Golf Club https://www.pvgc.com in Palos Verdes Estates.

Fergin/Stewart and Kramer/Hunt were even after seven playoff holes when darkness halted the tournament that began with 34 teams playing under the Pinehurst format.

Fergin/Stewart, who collected seven birdies, and Kramer/Hunt, who had six birdies, finished with a score of 2-under-par 69 that was equaled by Jeffrey Templeton/Joan Higgins of Glendora Country Club, Logan Scott/Angela Collins of Oakmont Country Club in Glendale, Nick Badel/Eunice Cho of Virginia Country Club in Long Beach, Sean King/Christa White of Apple Valley Golf Club, and Ben Edwards/Colette Rosenberg of the Saticoy Club in Somis.

Andrew Alderice/Ailam Newkirk of Newport Beach Country Club were eighth at 70, while Michael Diette and Mifada George of Palos Verde Golf Club in Palos Verdes Estates shot 71 to tie for ninth with Scott Heyn of The Farms Golf Club in Rancho Santa Fe/Vicki Morton of Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club, and Blair Harkins/Stafani Goldenberg of Rolling Hills Country Club in Rolling Hills Estates.
