Southern California PGA pros are back in competition after the Coronavirus shutdown.
Michael Block of Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club in Mission Viejo and Scott Mallory of The Journey at Pechanga in Temecula captured the Southern California PGA’s Cart Star Motors Senior-Junior Championship at Valencia Country Club in a scorecard playoff with Tim Parun and Mark Geddes of Coronado Golf Course.
Block and Mallory were 1-over-par through five holes, but then reeled off eight birdies and an eagle on their last 13 holes to finish at 9-under 63 in the four-ball format, which was match by Parun and Geddes.
However, Parun and Geddes came up short with a back nine score of 31, despite an eagle on the 15th hole, while Block and Mallory won with a score of 30 by carding six birdies on the last nine holes.
