What’s In The Bag – Si Woo Kim

It was a week of firsts for Si Woo Kim. The newly-minted TOUR winner became the 18th first-time champion this season, and youngest international winner since Seve Ballesteros in 1978, with his five-shot victory at the Wyndham Championship.

The 21-year-old set a course record 60 during the second round and missed a 50-footer for birdie on the last hole for 59.

Kim coasted to victory behind a strong tee-to-green performance (plus 15.371) that ranked tops in the field. Using an 8.5-degree TaylorMade M1 460 driver, Kim picked up 5.849 shots off the tee and finished sixth in driving accuracy (73.21 percent). He also produced the sixth longest tee shot of the week at 369 yards.

TaylorMade’s M1 has a lightweight carbon composite crown that weighs 10 grams, and two sliding weight tracks in the sole that run from heel to toe and front to back.

With a combined weight of 25 grams, the two tracks in the sole allow face angle and launch to be altered based on the position of the weights.
