Corey Weworski of Carlsbad and Mary Kay Zordani of Palm Desert claimed the Southern California Golf Association Four-Ball Championship by one stroke on the Dinah Shore Course at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage.
Weworski (pictured right) and Zordani (left), who won the 2015 and 2017 Women’s Trans-National Golf Association Senior Four-Ball Championships, carded a score of 70-64—134, 10-under-par, collecting birdies on seven of their last nine holes while finishing on the front nine.
Kathy Kirata of Pasadena and Caryn Wilson of Rancho Mirage were second at 65-70—135, followed by Jennie Robinson of La Quinta and Mina Hardin of Carlsbad at 69-69—138, Jamie Hoffman of Escondido and Nanette Seman of Murrieta at 71-68—139, and Mary Budke of Palm Springs and Lisa Stanley of Rancho Mirage at 70-71—141.
Sherry Smith of Irvine and Karen Brannon of Poway were sixth at 73-73—146, while Rita Whitney of Pasadena and Mikie Alpert of Encino finished at 73-74 —147 to tie for seventh with Robyn Pickett of Irvine and Joan Higgins of Glendora at 73-74—147, followed by Leslie Wilk of Camarillo and Danna King of Coto de Caza at 75-73—148, and Eve Clayton of San Bernardino and Lisa Richey of Blue Jay at 77-76—153.
Kimberly Stanick and Linda Story of Bella Collina Towne and Golf Club in San Clemente won the SCGA Women’s Net Championship with a score of 66-69—135, 9-under, while Carolyn Cusick and Sharyn Buck of Wood Ranch Golf Club in Moorpark totaled 70-67—137 to tie for second with Sharon Smith and Jackie Castle of Mission Hills Country Club at 67-70—137.
Linda Kueny and Patricia Godfrey of Tijeras Creek Golf Club in Rancho Santa Margarita shot 70-68—138 to tie for fourth with Debra Matthews and Debbie Hoffman of Vista Valley Country Club in Vista, who came in at 68-70—138.
