Both the new balls from Wilson are for better players with the Staff Model with its lower compression and softer feel has a lower trajectory off the tee while the Staff Model X feels firmer and offers a higher driver trajectory and better spin on short shots.
The double mantle lets engineers design the inner one to be more reactive to lessen driver spin and the outer mantle to be engaged with irons to produce more control.
