High swing speed players such as touring professional and elite amateurs asked for even more distance with the same high flight and short game spin as the Pro V1x and the Left Dash was Titleist’s response.
The Left Dash is for players wanting high launch with low driver spin who can generate the short iron spin needed for scoring. Compared with the stock Pro V1x the Left Dash variant has lower full swing spin, slightly lower flight but a noticeably firmer feel.
“Left Dash’s north star was to prioritize speed and low spin for distance while producing tour-validated short game control, meaning it still had to have more than enough control to be played on the game’s most demanding setups,” said Frederick Waddell, Director of Titleist Golf Ball Product Management. “At its core, Pro V1x Left Dash was designed for players looking to hit it far by taking advantage of a high-launching, low-spinning golf ball in the long game.”
According to the company’s ball fitting app data 6-8% of players can benefit from the Left Dash, in essence fine tuning ball performance even further for them.
