TIGER’S BALANCE, ROTATION, AND RELEASE

A great golf swing starts from the ground up, and this image of Tiger Woods provides an excellent example of technically sound foot work with outstanding balance. After tiger reaches the top of his backswing his next move is to shift his weight forward onto a perfectly balanced front foot which allows him to maintain balance through impact by keeping forward foot flat to the ground as the hips rotate through the hitting area.

This lower body balance is critical to creating a full and completed release. Tiger can now use centrifugal force to naturally square the club face by letting the hands roll over and the arms extend away from his body towards the target. To hit the ball longer and start straighter, try swinging slower with balance and let your arms release the club without manipulating your hands.
