Jonah Texeira of Porter Ranch, who got into the 116th United States Amateur as an alternate, went all the way to the semifinals before being eliminated by Brad Dalke of Norman, Okla., 3 and 2, on the South Course at Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Hills, Mich.
Texiera will be a junior at USC this season.
Dalke will play Curtis Luck of Australia, who needed 21 holes in his semifinal match to turn back Nick Carlson of Hamilton. Mich., in the 36-hole final on Sunday.
