TaylorMade calls their Qi4D drivers for 2026 “the fastest, most fittable family” they have ever made. The carbon face was redesigned to produce more speed with a new roll radius which means more consistent spin rates from impacts either low or high on the face. Consistency is also helped by the Twist Face corrective curvature for straighter shots with less dispersion.
Analyzing data from more than 11 million driver swings collected over the past 20 years TaylorMade engineers found the most efficient shafts for the different types of face rotation golfers have. About 20% of golfers are in the high rotation rate category, lots of face rotation through impact and a high rotation (HR) REAX shaft that has a softer tip section will fit them best. On the other end of the scale are 20% who have a low rate of rotation and a (LR) REAX shaft is call for with its stiffer tip section.
In the middle are the 60% with a balanced swing and a moderate amount of rotation through impact and they fit best into a mid-rotation (MR) REAX shaft with a mid-tip flex.
