Sam Sommerhauser of Rocklin captured the Boys Division title in the Junior Tour of Northern California’s Holiday Series III Championship by two strokes at Del Monte Golf Course in Monterey and Poppy Hills Golf Course in Pebble Beach.
Sommerhauser (pictured left) posted a 3-under 68, shooting 32 on the back nine at Del Monte, and came back with a 1-over 73 the next day at Poppy Hills, including another 32 on the front side, to claim his second JTNC title of the season at 2-under 141.
Ryan Grauman (center) of Alamo carded a score of 71-72—143 to tie for second with Caleb Shetler (right) of Saratoga, who finished at 70-73—143, while Connor Motherway of Reno, Nev., shot 73-72—145 to tie for fourth with Matthew Sutherland of Carmichael, who wound up at 70-75—145.
Dylan McDermott of Granite Bay was sixth at 71-75—146, followed by Ethan Chung of Cupertino at 72-76—148 and Daniel Lim of San Jose at 73-76—149, while Joshua Lim of San Francisco shot 74-76—150 to tie for ninth with Carlos Arieta Winsett of Los Altos, who came in at 73-77—150.
Reese Sato of Folsom won the first flight with a score of 76-77—153, while Richard Yang of Sunnyvale totaled 78-79—157 to tie for second with Joshua Yeater of Marina, who finished at 77-80—157.
Nicholas Gavasse of Aptos was fourth at 80-79—159, followed by Jacob Lutz of Coralitos at 77-83—160, Leonardo Vieira of Castro Valley at 82-79—161 and Jack Wright of Chowchilla of at 82-81—163.
Jake Fox of Walnut Creek shot 85-79—164 to tie for eighth with Chad Flory of Ripon, who also finished at 85-79—164, and Brandon Chan of Fremont, who wound up at 81-83—164.
