Corby Segal of Santa Clarita bounced back from a near disastrous first round to capture the 35th Kelly Cup Invitational by three strokes over Nico Bollini of Laguna Beach at Lakeside Golf Club in Burbank.
Segal, who also won the title in 2013, carded a winning score of 74-68-70— 212, 2-over-par, while Bollini finished at 72-72-71—215.
Tim Hogarth of Northridge, who has won the Kelly Cup a record nine times, was third at 73-72-71—216, while Ryan Dwight of Costa Mesa shot 76-72-71— 219 to tie for fourth with Keith Kinsel, who wound up at 71-71-77—219, and Michael Turner of Sherman Oaks was sixth at 73-72—78—223.
Craig Steinberg of Agoura Hills carded a score of 75-75-75—225 to tie for seventh with Mark Gardner of Redlands, who wound up at 72-75-78—225, while Cliff Martin of Los Angeles was ninth at 73-77-76—226, followed by Jeremy Moreno of Fresno, who came in at 76-74-77—227.
