Pigman claims SCPGA Club Professional title

Kenny Pigman of Goose Creek Golf Club in Jurupa Valley captured the Southern California PGA Club Professional Championship by five strokes over Michael Block of Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club and Brian Smock of Coronado Municipal Golf Course at TPC Valencia.

Pigman posted a score of 70-66-70–206, 10-under-par, and earned exemption into the 2017 Career Builder Challenge on the PGA Tour hosted at PGA West in La Quinta.

Block wound up at 72-73-66–211 and Smock finished at 71-71-69–211.

Andrew Larkin of UCLA was fourth at 71-70-72–213, while Jon Fielder of Las Posas Country Club shot 70-73-72–215 to tie for fifth with Chad Sorensen of Buena Vista Golf Course, who came in at 72-73-70–215.

Alan Scheer of Steele Canyon Golf Club was seventh at 75-72-69–216, followed by Scot Heyn of Oakmont Country Club at 71-77-69–217, and Bruce Nakamura of Aviara Golf Academy at 74-70-74–218.

Steve Holmes of Westlake Golf Course totaled 79-71-70–220 and tied for 10th with Blair Hawkins of Rolling Hills Country Club, who finished at 69-79-72–220.
