Pate, Marsh win SCGA Four-Ball

John Pate and Kevin Marsh both made birdies on the final hole to capture the 2014 Southern California Golf Association Four-Ball Championship by one stroke over Nathan Celusta and Mark Nickeas at Saticoy Country Club in Somis.

Pate (pictured, left), from Santa Barbara, and Marsh, of Henderson, Nev., posted a score of 67-65–132, 12-under par.

Celusta, of Newbury Park, and Nickeas, of Westlake Village, also had two birdies on the final hole and wound up at 69-64–133.

Michael Feuerstein and John Rudolph, both of San Diego, finished alone in third at 67-68–135.

Mark Reyes of Los Angeles and Oliver Rheinfurth of Westlake Village shot 67-69–136 and tied for fourth with Tim Hogarth of Northridge and Corby Segal of Santa Clarita, who came in with an identical score of 67-68–136.
