Cook and Thompson Tie for Northern California PGA Pro Series 4 Championship; Top 68 Professionals Advance to NCPGA Match Play Championship

DALY CITY, Calif. – The Northern California PGA is pleased to announce that Mike Cook of Pine Mountain Lake Country Club and Brian Thompson of The Olympic Club tied for the NCPGA Pro Series 4 Championship with a final score of 2-over par 74.

This one-day tournament was held at Lake Merced Golf Club (Par 72) in Daly City, California and was made possible through supporting partner PGA Tour and contributing partner SCNS Sports Foods, makers of 1st & 10th Tee Golf Energy Bars. For full results, please visit NCPGALinks.com.

From the field, the top 68 Class A PGA Professionals (PGA Apprentices are not eligible to advance to Match Play Championship – denoted as (a)) who were eligible and elected to qualify will advance to the 2016 Northern California PGA Match Play Championship. They will join the 2015 Match Play Champion – PGA Head Golf Professional Tim Pulley of Yolo Fliers Club in Woodland, California.

The 2016 Match Play Championship will be held at Coyote Creek Golf Club (rounds 1-2) on April 25, 2016, Nicklaus Club – Monterey (rounds 3-4) on April 26, 2016 and Cypress Point Club and Pebble Beach Golf Links (Semi-Finals and Finals) on April 27, 2016. The 2016 Match Play Championship is proudly presented by PGA Tour and OMEGA, and supported by Greg Norman & Dunning Golf and Sterling Cut Glass.
