Scott Miller and Alex Hird of North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village captured the Southern California PGA Four-Ball Championship by one stroke over Steve Holmes of Westlake Golf Course in Westlake Village and Brian Smock on Coronado Golf Course on the Champions Course at La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad.
Miller (pictured left) and Hird (right) collected eight birdies and an eagle to record a score of 9-under par 63, while Smock and Holmes finished at 64.
Defending champions Kenny Pigman of Goose Creek Golf Club in Mira Loma and Michael Block of Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club in Mission Viejo shot 65 to tie for third with Ryan Kennedy of Rustic Canyon in Moorpark and Mike Fergin of Mesa Verde Country Club in Costa Mesa, Michael Alldredge and Shay Blechynden of the Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe, and Thomas Chu of Valencia Country Club and Jamie Puterbaugh of Aviara Golf Academy in Carlsbad.
Vinnie Poncino of San Clemente Golf Course and Bobby Nickell of Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club totaled 66 to tie for seventh with Sean King and Michael Reese of Apple Valley Golf Course, Chris Gilley of La Quinta Country Club and Kyle Kelly of Tamarisk Country Club in Rancho Mirage, Michael Griffin of Lomas Santa Fe Country Club in Solana Beach and Logan Scott of Oakmont Country Club in Glendale, and David Anderson of Premiere Caddie of Carlsbad and Nikki Prichard of Arrowhead Country Club in San Bernardino.
