Cindy McConnell of the PGA West Private Club in LaQuinta and Michelle Lint of Las Posas Country Club in Camarillo captured the 2022 Southern California Golf Association Women’s Four-Ball Championship by one stroke over Kathy Kurata and Caren Wilson of Mission Hills Country Club at Mission Hills in Rancho Mirage.
The first round was played on the Pete Dye Challenge Course and the second on the Arnold Palmer Signature Course at Mission Hills.
Lint and McConnell posted a score of 69-70—139, 5-under-par, while Kurata and Wilson finished at 69-71—140, followed by Shelly Haywood of Amateurgolf.com and AiLam Newkirk of Newport Beach Country Club at 75-68—145.
Mary Budke and Marlo Stil of Mission Hills Country Club were fourth at 75-70—145, followed by Angela Collins of Oakmont Country Club in Glendale and Akemi Nakata Khaiat of Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades at 73-74—147, and Teri Goolsby of Roger Dunn Golf Shop in Orange and Monica Ledes of Inland Empire Golf Club at 78-74—152.
Soran Lim of Pelican Hill Golf Club in Newport Hills and Sera Park of Los Coyotes Country Club in Buena Park shot 74-79—153 to tie for seventh with Lynn Couillard of Industry of Hills Golf Club in the City of Industry and Andrea Yeager of Redlands Country Club, who finished at 77-76—153, and Linda Olsen of the PGA West Private Course and Collette Rosenberg of The Saticoy Club in Somis, while Kristin Fenwick and Margaret Smith of Tahquitz Creek Golf Resort in Palm Springs were 10th at 76-78—154.
Mug Gogg and Daniela Schellengerg of Escena Golf Club in Palm Springs claimed the Net Division title with a score of 70-65—135, while Kay Kimball and Melissa Ko of North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village totaled 65-71—136 to tie for second with Danna King of Coto DeCaza Golf and Racquet Club and Leslie Wilk of the Saticoy Club, who shot 67-69—136, and Lisa Free and Janet Glynn of Tijeras Creek Women’s Golf Association in Rancho Santa Margarita at 70-66-136.
Donna Basil of LPGA Amateurs Palm Springs and Bonnie Bronson of Desert Cities Golf Club wound up at 71-66—137 to tie for fifth with Janny Naylor of Black Gold Golf Club in Yorba Linda and Scheila Telliard of Canyon Crest Country Club in Riverside, who came in a 65-72—137.
