Jacqueline Lucena of Chico captured the Girls Division of the Junior Tour of Northern California’s Holiday Series III Championship by three strokes at Del Monte Golf Course in Monterey and Poppy Hills Golf Course in Pebble Beach.
Lucena (pictured left) shot 75-74—149, 6-over-par, posting seven birdies over 36 holes, to win the title on the second day at Del Monte.
Jacqueline Ha (center) of San Ramon finished second at 76-76—152, Mike Jin of Freshot shot 75-78—153 to tie for third with Faith Low of Foster City, who finished at 77-76—153. Jin (right) won a card-off to take the trophy.
Danielle Suh of San Ramon was fifth at 76-79—155, while Carissa Wu of Dublin posted a score of 80-77—157 to tie for sixth with Quynn Duong of San Jose, who totaled 79-78—157, Simar Singh of Los Altos, who finished at 77-80—157, and Antonia Malate of Seaside, who also came in at 77-80—157.
Melinda Yuan shot 82-76—158 to tie for 10th with Vani Marimanal of San Jose, who wound up at 81-77—158.
In the First Flight, Sydney Sung of Palo Alto shot 77-87—164 to tie for first with Emily Luo of Danville, who totaled 83-81—164, and Nicole Iniakov of Prunedale, who finished at 82-82—164.
Sung captured the title with a par on the first playoff hole, while Luo was second with a bogey.
Lauren Sung of Palo Alto was fourth at 86-85—171, followed by Tiffany Kwok of Pleasanton at 88-84—172, Kaylen Tu of Orinda at 83-91—174 and Kalea Hall of Salinas at 86-89—175.
Katie Burson of Atascadero was eighth at 87-91—178, Nathalie Benrey of Atherton at 89-90—179 and Camille Thai of Los Altos at 89-91—180.
