Alison Lee of Valencia remained in solid position to earn her LPGA Tour card by shooting 2-under-par 70 in the fourth of five rounds and was tied for fourth heading into the final round of LPGA Qualifying School at LPGA International Golf Club in Daytona Beach, Fla.
Lee, a sophomore at UCLA, has said she will leave school and turn pro if she finishes in the top 20 and earns full playing status on the LPGA Tour for 2015, carded 16 pars and birdies on the seventh and eight holes in her fourth straight sub-par round.
Sophia Popov of USC and Germany carded three birdies on the back nine in a 71 and was tied for ninth, and Ryann O’Toole of San Clemente and UCLA bounced back from two early bogeys to play her last 14 holes in 2-under to finish in a tie for 17th.
