For the second time this season, Alli Kim of Point Loma Nazarene captured the individual title and led the Sea Lions to victory, this time in the Augustana Spring Fling at Desert Willow Golf Resort www.desertwillow.com in Palm Desert.
Point Loma Nazarene posted a score of 314-313—627, 51-over-par, followed by Northeastern State at 323-311—634, Dixie State at 316-320—636, Central Oklahoma at 330-317—647 and Biola at 328-320—648.
Augustana was sixth at 330-321—651, followed by Colorado Christian at 339-336—675, Hawaii-Hilo at 344-341—685, Cal State Los Angeles at 347-341—688 and St. Martin’s at 356-355—711.
Kim, a sophomore of Murrieta, claimed her third title of the season with a score of 71-75—146, followed by Aitana Hernandez of Northeastern State at 79-73—152, Hannah Hankinson of Augustana at 75-78—153 and Faith Kilgore of Colorado Christian at 78-78—156.
Jules Loibl of Biola shot 81-76—157 to tie for fifth with Leanna Mena of Cal State Los Angeles, who finished at 77-80—157, Faith Stewart of Central Oklahoma, who wound up at 80-77—157 and Ashley Fernandez of Dixie State, who came in at 80-77—157.
Yoong Chang of Point Loma was ninth at 78-80—158, followed by Ebba Moberg of Northeastern State at 82-77—159.
Rounding out the scoring for team champion Point Loma Nazarene were Summer Marshall in a tie for 13th at 82-79—161, Christine Perez in a tie for 23rd at 86-79—165 and Michaela Cain in a tie for 28th at 83-83—166.
