James Hahn made an amazing up-and-down at No. 10 at Riviera Country Club on the second hole of the Northern Trust Open playoff with Dustin Johnson and Paul Casey, en route to his first PGA Tour victory. Hahn hit a high, soft pitch from approximately 25 yards left of the green, over the bunker between him and the pin, and stopped the ball inside 10 feet.
In this sequence of photos, shot by Michael Weinstein during a fog delay at the Farmers Insurance Open a week earlier, Hahn practiced on the Torrey Pines driving range and showed the considerable short game skills that made that clutch shot possible– he hits a baby flop and then, amazingly, is able to catch the ball he just hit. If you don’t think is impressive … try it sometime!
