Chris Brown of Coronado Golf Course and Ryan Maring of Del Rio Country Club in Brawley captured the Southern California PGA’s 2018 E-Z-GO Professional-Professional Scramble with an eagle on the second playoff hole at Coronado Golf Course in San Diego.
Brown and Maring, who split $2,800, posted a score of 12-under-par 60 and finished regulation tied with Jeff Munak of San Diego Country Club and Eric Riehle of UC Riverside, who shared $2,300.
Chi Choi of Monarch Beach Golf Links in Dana Point and Mike Fergin of Mesa Verde Country Club in Costa Mesa were third at 61, while Grant Strobel of Carmel Mountain Ranch Country Club in San Diego and Alan Scheer of Steele Canyon Golf Club in Jamul totaled 62 to tie for fourth with Thomas Chu of Valencia Country Club and Vinnie Ponciano of San Clemente Municipal Golf Course, Joshua Rider and Dean Wilson Garbutt of the Santaluz Club in San Diego, Andy Gaither and James Hocksprung of Black Gold Golf Club in Yorba Linda, and Kenny Pigman of Goose Creek Golf Club in Mira Loma and Paul Dietsche of Redlands Country Club.
Chris Gilley of La Quinta Country Club and Kyle Kelly of Tamarisk Country Club in Rancho Mirage shot 63 to tie for ninth with Andrew Kramer and Vinnie Bertagna of Los Serranos Country Club in Chino Hills.
Jim Petralia, a retired SCPGA life member, made a hole in one on the ninth hole and teamed with Paul Marchewka, another retired SCPGA life member, to tie for 26th at 66.
