Douglas-Moridaira Win NCGA 4-Ball Title

Jennifer Douglas of Green Valley Country Club in Fairfield and Itsuko Moridaira of Granite Bay Golf Club in claimed the Northern California Women’s Four-Ball Championship by two strokes over Eden Anderson of Claremont Country Club in Oakland and Lydia Shell Blackhawk Country Club in Danville at Poppy Hills Golf Course https://poppyhillsgolf.com in Pebble Beach.

Douglas (pictured right) and Moridaira (left) posted a score of 72-73—145, 3 over-par, while Anderson and Shell finished at 77-70—147, and Judicia Lane and Suzy Duarte of Salinas Fairways Golf Club were third at 72-76—148.

Susan Erickson Los Positas Golf Course in Livermore and Sandra Szczerbin PWGA Eclub were fourth at 76-75—151, followed by Susan Norman and Michelle Walsh of La Rinconada Country Club in Los Gatos at 76-81—157, Christina Browning of Las Positas Golf Course and Kelly Simpson of Discovery Bay Country Club at 82-77—159, and Vernie Miller of Kings Country Club in Hanford and Lisa Sasaki of Copper River Country Club in Fresno at 77-83—160.

Margie Thomas and Mary Louise Shellooe of Quail Lodge and Club in Carmel totaled 80-81—161 to tie for eighth with Tina Barker and Dolly Coleman of Green Valley Country Club, who wound up at 78-83—161, while Sara Mitchell of Quail Lodge and Rhonda Mohr of Half Moon Bay Golf Club were 10th at 85-81—166.

Duarte and Lane captured the Big Sur (Net) Flight at 61-65—126, 16-under; Browning and Simpson took the Golden Gate (Net) Flight at 67-63—130, the Yosemite (Net) Flight went to Michele Gunner of EWGA-Marin Napa and Jenny Shone of with a score of Indian Valley Golf Club in Novato at 66-66—132.
