Dyer, a senior from England who was medalist in the Sacramento State Invitational last season, posted a score of 66-68-70—204, 12-under-par, while Daniel O’Loughlin of Colorado finished at 69-67-68—204 and Salazar wound up at 66-68-70—204.
O’Laughlin and Dyer both made par as Salazar won with his birdie in the playoff.
Carl Underwood of Wyoming was fourth at 71-66-68—205, while Paul Gonzalez of Terxas-Arlington shot 70-67-69—206 to tie for fifth with Witchayapat Sinsrang of Omaha, who wound up at 66-67-73—206.
Derek Castillo of Cal State Fullerton was seventh at 67-73-67—207, while Ross Macdonald of Colorado totaled 72-70-66—208 to tie for eighth with Kyle Cox of Texas-Arlington, who finished at 68-71-69—208, and Colten Cordingley of Utah State, who came in at 67-69-72—208.
Colorado took the team championship for the seventh consecutive year with a score of 276-280-273—829, 35-under-par, followed by Grand Canyon at 278-283-278—839, Wyoming at 279-283-282—844, Cal State Fullerton at 282-281-282—845 and Texas-Arlington at 285-281-280—846.
Omaha posted a score of 287-279-282—848 to tie for sixth with Utah State, which wound up at 281-279-288—848, while Northern Colorado was eighth at 285-289-276—850, followed by Southern Utah at 299-287-277—863 and Incarnate Word at 289-300-290—879.
