DS-Adapt irons tackle the most competitive segment of the iron market, recreational players, with several new features plus some updates from last season’s Darkspeed model. The Women’s DS-Adapt Max irons are a lighter weight version of the men’s with the same pricing and availability as the men’s version.

“COBRA has long been a leader in game improvement irons, but the new DS-ADAPT family represents a major breakthrough in both performance and fitting,” said Jose Miraflor, VP of Product Architecture and Consumer Connections at Cobra Puma Golf. “We have two models that can fit a massive group of players with varying swing speeds, all of whom are looking for maximum distance, exceptional forgiveness, and optimal overall performance.”

DS-Adapt has the largest Speedshell-design face ever made by Cobra and company testing shows it has 23% more flexing at impact than the 2024 Darkspeed irons and with the distinctive internal weighting called PWR-BRIDGE they make Cobra’s longest irons yet.

The DS-Adapt Max is a larger profile with both a longer blade and wider sole which will help slower speed swingers make better and more consistent contact. The Max has more offset as well which helps to reduce the common left to right ball path that robs accuracy and distance from many golfers.

Cobra in describing the overall result of their refinements for the Max said, “When tested against the standard DS-ADAPT irons, the MAX model produced approximately 1.6° higher launch, 550 rpm more spin, 2.4 yards higher peak trajectory, 2° steeper descent angles, and 8 more yards of draw bias.”
