It might be called an idea whose time has come but Bridgestone has created a golf ball specifically for “young players who need a lower compression, easier-launching option for their developing swings and bodies.”
Sounds like a winner for those of us with children and grandchildren coming into the game and who should have the only piece of equipment used for ever shot designed to help them hit good shots.
Realistically using balls that are made for adults with higher swing speeds can be off-putting and the question is then how to make golf be easier and fun especially at the entry level of youngsters.
U.S. Kids Golf Foundation will receive part of the proceeds from Boom It Junior balls benefitting their kid-friendly programs.

Bridgestone has also priced the Boom It at the very bottom of the ball price spectrum which is appreciated.
