Garrett Boe of Clovis captured the Boys Division title and Nthenya Maithya of Modesto claimed the Girls Division crown in the Bryson DeChambeau Junior Classic on the Junior Golf Association of Northern California Tour at Dragonfly Golf Club https://dragonflygolfclub.com in Madera.
Boe (pictured), who recently won the State Fair Junior Boys Championship and has finished in the top three six times this season, eagled the second hole while carding a score of 9-under-par 64 to win by five strokes of Cutter Ayres of Visalia, who was second at 69, followed by Matthew Sutherland of Carmichael at 71 and Adam Cartozian-Williams of Modesto at 74.
Dean Cavanna of San Anselmo shot 76 to tie for fifth with Camdan Indelicato of Manteca, while David Lewellyn of Fresno totaled 77 to tie for seventh with Jacob Miller of Fresno, and Garrett Takeuchi of Fresno finished at 79 to tie for ninth with Chad Flory of Ripon and Benzion Levitt of Fresno.
Maithya took the Girls title at 85, followed by Claire Shubin of Fresno at 79, while Marissa Martinez of Fresno shot 83 to tie for third with Gia Vargas, also of Fresno.
Avery Foster of Clovis was fifth at 84, followed by Kalea Hall of Salinas at 87, while Hailey Moore of Friant totaled 89 to tie for seventh with Alyssa Vendure of Fresno, and McKenna of Fresno was eighth at 92, followed by Ryan Duncan of Clovis at 98 and Karina Dorn of Fresno at 103.
