After the death of Ben Hogan almost 40 years ago his club company experienced a bumpy time with multiple owners none of which could come close to making a success of the venerable name. Now owned by Las Vegas-based Golf Brands Inc. Ben Hogan Golf joined their other golf companies: Macgregor (clubs), Ram (packaged sets), Teardrop (putters) and Zebra (putters).
A visit to the GBI booth at the PGA Show revealed the tremendous effort they are putting into all their products, and this is reflected in the new Ben Hogan Legend irons.
The highly regarded V-SOLE design is used on this new model. The leading wedge has a high-bounce leading edge while the trailing edge lower-bounce. This is an advantage getting through even long grass and being able produce a reasonable shot from almost any lie.
