Coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady of the New England Patriots have committed to play in the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am next week.
The Patriots’ season ended when they were beaten, 26-16, by the Denver Broncos in the American Football Conference Championship Game at Sports Authority Field at Mile High in Denver on Jan. 19.
“I’ll take out all my frustrations at Pebble Beach — see if I can hit the ball over the water instead of in,” Belichick joked afterward.
Brady, a product of Serra High in San Mateo, and Belichick, who have led the Patriots to three Super Bowl victories, have played in the pro-am portion at Pebble Beach several times in the past.
