Martina Edberg of Cal State Fullerton claimed her fifth career victory, winning the WSU Cougar Cup by a whopping seven strokes at Palouse Ridge Golf Club in Pullman, Wash.
Edberg, a senior from Sweden, posted a score of 72-68-66–206, 10-under-par, breaking her 54-hole school record by five strokes.
Sophie Hausmann of Idaho shot 73-71-69–213 to tie for second with her Vandals teammate, Amy Hasenoehrl, who finished at 73-72-68–213.
Bree Wanderscheid of host Washington State totaled 72-72-71–215 to tie for fourth with her Cougars teammate, Alivia Brown, who wound up at 71-73-71–215.
Brittany Farrell of CSU Fullerton tied for seventh at 73-72-72–217 and Astha Madan of Sacramento State was ninth at 74-69-76–219.
Chloe Bartek of Sacramento State carded a score of 74-76-71–221 to tie for 12th with her Hornets teammate, Julia Becker, who shot 76-75-70–221, and Pauline Welker of Cal State Fullerton, who came in at 75-74-72–221.
Idaho claimed the team title at 291-292-281–864, 7-under, while Washington State totaled 289-293-286–868 to tie for second with Cal State Fullerton, which wound up at 293-292-283–868.
Sacramento State was fourth at 294-296-289–879, followed byMontana State at 292-301-299–892, Seattle at 300-302-298–900 and Montana at 307-302-307–916.
Eastern Washington totaled 314-305–308 tie for eighth with British Columbia, who wound up at 309-313-305–927, while Valparaiso was 10th at 324-329-309–962.
